Short Intro on Led Display Boards

Although it may come across as confusing, there are some selected simple and easy tricks that can make the ordeal of purchasing your LED display much simpler. Ever wonder why 2 signs of the same size didn't cost the same?

Letter Height

One error that a number of buyers make is to buy an led sign limited to a letter height that is either too big, or, more commonly, not big enough for the visibility they are attempting to do. A handy shortcut, employed in the signage industry, is planning for an inch of line height for every 10 feet from your sign that a potential target is. Technically, the sign is readable at twice the distance you'll calculate, but it's not nearly as impactful.

Choosing the Pitch

The individual LED groups on an message board are known as LED "pixels and the spacing between each LED is called the pitch size. If the sign has a small pitch size, the total number of LEDs will be higher. Obviously, if there are more "pixels" in your LED message board, it looks more attractive, and the sign costs more. It's very similar to the concept of a "High Definition TV" in that a more crisp look requires a larger number of pixels.

The count of colors

The last attribute that affects the pricing of your sign is the color. While there are many choices, usually, LED displaysare manufactured in amber, red, or 3-color, or unlimited colors. Since color signs are the least expensive, but surprisingly, can be the brightest, since they usually offer 2 or more of the same color LED in a single pixel.
